Sara’s droptrkr

The problem
Prices on the same product change constantly across online shops, and checking back manually to see if something has gone on sale wastes time and usually means missing the actual best moment to buy.
The solution
dropTrkr lets someone save a product link once, tracks its price in the background, and sends a single notification only when the price actually drops below its recent average, showing how that new price compares to the last 90 days.
Monetisation service
Free for tracking 3 products. A £2.49/month Plus tier removes the product limit and adds an instant alert option for time-limited drops instead of a daily check.

Sara’s story
Sara built dropTrkr after repeatedly checking the same product page for days waiting for a price to drop, only to miss the actual sale because she happened to check on the wrong day. Her idea was simple: let the app watch the price instead of her.
In the Make It a Real App phase, Sara focused the whole home screen around one clear headline drop, the biggest recent saving, with everything else tracked quietly underneath until it actually changes. She used AI to help build the tracking and notification screens while deciding what actually counts as a genuine drop worth alerting on.
The hardest part was deciding when a price change was worth a notification at all. Her first version alerted on every tiny price change, which made the app noisy and easy to ignore, so she rebuilt it to only notify on a real, meaningful drop against recent history.
