Marzuq’s story
Marzuq noticed that most GCSE revision tools treat every topic as equally urgent, when in reality a handful of specific misconceptions are usually what's actually costing a student the most marks. Nexora, his AI Tutor for GCSE Maths, is built to find that one misconception first, not just work through a topic list in order.
In the Make It a Real App phase, Marzuq built the whole flow around one priority fix at a time: a diagnostic surfaces the highest-yield misconception, then routes straight into an AI tutor conversation, a matching exam paper or a flashcard set, with a performance dashboard tracking grade trajectory against a target over the whole course. He used AI to help build the interface and analytics views while designing the actual diagnostic and tutoring logic himself.
The hardest part was the grade-tracking chart itself: turning raw topic-mastery scores into an honest, motivating trajectory line without either sugar-coating a student's real position or making the target grade feel out of reach.
