Habib’s story
Habib built ExamCards during his own GCSE revision, when he noticed he kept re-reading topics he already understood just because they came up next in his notes, while the ones he actually struggled with got less attention than they needed.
In the Make It a Real App phase, Habib designed the core loop around one deliberately simple choice per card: Got It or Still Learning, with the app quietly weighting which cards come back sooner based on that. He used AI to help build the flip-card interface and the this-week progress card while deciding the actual revision logic himself.
Getting the flip animation and the got-it tracking to feel instant, rather than laggy, took more iteration than writing the flashcard content did, since a slow-feeling app is the fastest way to make revision feel like a chore again.
