Aardi’s quest-work

The problem
Homework rarely feels like progress toward anything, it is just a list of tasks to clear, so there is little sense of building something over time the way a video game gives you a visible sense of getting stronger.
The solution
QuestWork turns each homework task into a quest with its own XP reward, and finishing quests levels up a character with a title, like Homework Wizard, so progress across a whole term becomes visible rather than a list that resets every day.
Monetisation service
Free for the core levelling system. A £1.99/month Plus tier unlocks extra character titles and cosmetic character customisation, kept entirely cosmetic so nobody can pay to level up faster.

Aardi’s story
Aardi plays games where levelling up a character feels genuinely satisfying, and wondered why homework, which takes real effort too, never gives you anything like that sense of visible progress. QuestWork is his attempt to bring that feeling to something real.
In the Make It a Real App phase, Aardi built the character and quest-log screens, deciding how much XP different kinds of homework should be worth and what a levelling curve should feel like. He used AI to help build the interface and animations while keeping the actual game design, XP values and level titles, his own decisions.
Balancing the XP rewards was the hardest part: too generous and levelling up felt meaningless, too strict and it felt unfair, so he spent real time testing different XP amounts against his own actual homework load before settling on the current numbers.
